The Store's 35th anniversary went well, minus the huge vase of flowers we got that I ended up sitting next ta the whole day. Ended up eating leftover cold cuts for a week, but they were nummy garlic-y meats.
I have my bed-tables and desk cleared up and ready for the move now. All cutlery and kitchenry accounted fer...gotta clean off mah big chair...OH! I bought a cute folding chair (that Taren's grandpa made?) from their garage sale. c'est tres mignon. Now I have a place for a room guest to sit! :D Just foods and clothes left to figure with me thinks.
I CAN MAKE STICKY RICE AND ONIGIRI!!!! YESH!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
This Saturday I went ta Wizard World Chicago. Weeeee. I did something I am mildly proud of though: This was my first time driving to Chicago by my oneses! YAAAAAAAY!!!! (OK, not really THAT big a deal I suppose...)(Even though it took me 2 hours...)(OK...so I took route 72 and never touched an interstate...SHUT UP! I don't like interstates...) Moving on. Got in for free by helping out hand out fliers for the Video Games Live concert. :3 Free is good. Never did hand out ALL the fliers though. :/ Spend some time with Nikki and Matt who were there handing out as well. Then I went to the DC COMIC TALENT SEARCH thing and learned some info about what they expect/how to blah blah for a job with them. After that I ran around a bit and cased the joint. Then I got hungery and ate my lunch which I stupidly left in the car. d'oh. On the way back I ran into Kevin-san and a friend of his (;_; sooo bad with the names.) We talked for a bit and then it was back to flier-monkey ook ook. Picked up Lissa and Chris, did a Magic, D&D and Clout demo. Fun fun. Loot loot. Wandered around a bit more...and the 3 of us went to dinner at Giovanni's. NUMMY. :d Then I drove em back to the con and headed home. (HAHA didn't even go to what I was handing out fliers for!) |
